Quality Control
China Loong Solar Cell Co., Ltd. applies a structured quality control approach to solar cells, solar panels, BIPV products, flexible and foldable modules, solar energy system components, production equipment, and related raw materials. Our inspection activities are based on approved product specifications, customer requirements, internal inspection standards, and industry-aligned practices. Quality records are maintained at key stages to support product consistency, order traceability, and effective communication with international buyers.
1. Incoming Material Inspection
Incoming materials and purchased components are checked before they are released for production or order fulfillment. The inspection scope is adjusted according to the product type and may cover supplier documentation, appearance, dimensions, material identification, electrical characteristics, and sample-based functional verification.
- Solar cell and wafer materials: Silicon wafers, monocrystalline and polycrystalline cells, P-type PERC cells, N-type TOPCon, HJT, and IBC cells are checked against the applicable grade, dimensions, appearance, and electrical specifications.
- Module materials: Glass, encapsulation films, backsheets, frames, ribbons, junction boxes, connectors, cables, and adhesives are reviewed for conformity with approved requirements.
- Electronic and mechanical components: Parts used in inverters, charge controllers, monitoring systems, trackers, mounting systems, cleaning machines, and testing devices are inspected according to relevant drawings or purchase specifications.
- Special-grade materials: Grade B/C and recycled solar cells are identified and classified according to agreed grading criteria to help prevent unintended mixing with other product grades.
2. In-Process Quality Control
Production and assembly processes are monitored through operator checks, defined inspection points, and sample inspections. Work instructions and product specifications are used to control critical steps such as cell sorting, interconnection, soldering, layup, lamination, edge finishing, framing, junction box installation, electrical assembly, and mechanical fitting.
- Cell appearance, polarity, dimensions, and electrical grouping are checked before assembly where applicable.
- Soldering quality, interconnection alignment, spacing, and workmanship are examined during module production.
- Lamination parameters and finished laminate condition are monitored for products that use encapsulated module structures.
- Dimensions, bending condition, surface integrity, and connection areas receive particular attention for flexible, thin-film, foldable, shingled, small-size, and custom solar products.
- Production deviations are identified, segregated, and reviewed before affected materials or products can proceed to the next stage.
3. Finished Product Inspection
Finished products are inspected against order specifications, approved samples, technical drawings, or agreed acceptance criteria. The exact inspection method depends on the product design and intended application.
- Visual and dimensional inspection: Products are checked for surface condition, workmanship, dimensions, connectors, cables, frames, labels, and other specified features.
- Electrical performance verification: Solar cells and modules may be evaluated for relevant electrical parameters under defined test conditions, subject to the applicable product specification.
- Module integrity checks: Inspection may include cell alignment, interconnection condition, laminate appearance, junction box installation, insulation-related characteristics, and other safety-related items where applicable.
- Application-specific checks: Bifacial products, BIPV solutions, flexible modules, and custom OEM products are reviewed for the characteristics defined for their structure and intended use.
- Functional testing: Inverters, charge controllers, monitoring devices, sensors, trackers, cleaning equipment, and solar production line components undergo appropriate operational or functional checks according to their configuration.
Inspection and testing results are reviewed before products are approved for packing. Any nonconforming item is identified and handled according to internal control procedures rather than being released without evaluation.
4. Packaging and Pre-Shipment Check
Packaging is selected with consideration for product size, weight, fragility, transportation method, and customer requirements. Solar cells, wafers, flexible products, framed modules, electronic equipment, and production machinery require different protection methods, so packing arrangements are confirmed according to the specific order.
- Product model, quantity, grade, and key order details are checked against the packing list.
- Labels, markings, accessories, manuals, cables, connectors, and agreed documentation are verified before shipment.
- Protective materials are reviewed for suitability against impact, movement, moisture, surface abrasion, and stacking risks during transportation.
- Outer cartons, pallets, crates, or other shipping packages are inspected for visible damage and adequate closure.
- Final shipment details are cross-checked to reduce the risk of incorrect models, mixed grades, missing accessories, or labeling errors.
5. Feedback, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement
China Loong Solar Cell Co., Ltd. treats customer feedback as an important part of quality management. When a quality concern is reported, our team reviews the available order information, product identification, inspection records, photographs, test data, and application conditions. This helps distinguish manufacturing issues from transportation damage, installation conditions, system compatibility, or other external factors.
Where corrective action is required, the relevant departments evaluate the cause, define suitable containment or improvement measures, and follow up on implementation. Findings may be used to update inspection criteria, work instructions, supplier controls, packaging methods, or employee training. Through documented communication and practical review, we aim to improve consistency across standard products and customized B2B orders.
